Season 2010/11

Since joining Maidstone RFC I have had the privilege to play under some great captains and now it’s my turn to lead the first team in London League 2.

I would just like to say a big thank you to Mark Ryan who has now stepped down as captain this year due to family commitments and only hope that he is able to play his part in what I feel will be the turning point for this team.

I think I speak on behalf of every player who wore the 1st team jersey last season who would agree that we are now in the right league to re-build our team and create a structure that will only benefit the club in years to come.

To say I’m honoured to captain the first team is a real understatement! I love this club and everything it stands for and I promise to lead from the front at all times whilst on the pitch and also off it.

More importantly I’m looking forward to getting back to winning ways and giving our loyal supporters something to cheer about.

Lastly I would just like to a big thank you to our coaching team of Andy Golding, Andy Foley, Shaun Neaves, Fin Davies and Sadie Jones who have provided us with a great pre-season schedule to get us ready for this new campaign.
