STONES ROLL OVER THURROCK

Maidstone U13’s recorded their first win of the season, against a highly competitive Thurrock side.

Thurrock started the stronger side, having the Stone’s worried, but Maidstone soon dominated the game. The first score came from a superb driving maul, with the try-scorer being Brett Scott. Further on, Chris Haw’s try came from good supporting play and was neatly converted by Sam Ellis. Making the half-time score 12-0 to Maidstone.

Maidstone started as they left off, and despite Thurrock’s striking attacks, once again they dominated the second half. Maidstone showed domination up front meanwhile Thurrock persevered. Ryan MacDonald scored a leaping try from lick handling through the backs. Maidstone’s fourth try came after a period of pressure in Thurrock’s 22, and Brett Scott went on to score his second try of the match.

To their credit Thurrock played enthusiastically but failed to get the points after a series of well defended attempts. The coaches would like to congratulate every player on their outstanding performances, and also thank the Thurrock squad for a fantastic match.
