Maidstone went into this game on the back of a narrow defeat at Gravesend. A few positional changes and a full squad set the scene for a good match. From the start Maidstone had a hunger for the ball and an attitude to be proud of. Tries soon scored came, Dover had no answer to the Maidstone’s forwards dominance in all aspects of the game. Which paved the way for some fine running and passing from the backs, five tries were scored by half time and Maidstone were on a roll. Half time changes saw no let up in the scoring and at 54 points to nil, the referee ended the game. All credit to Dover as they never let their heads drop and battled to the end.
