Men’s Rugby
Maidstone currently runs five regular senior XVs - all playing in a full programme of league and cup competitions - and a weekly Veterans XV who adhere to the more Corinthian ethos of the game. In addition we have also run an occasional 7th XV when numbers have allowed. We also run an Evergreen XV that competes in the regional Evergreen Cup competition and have been runners-up for the past two seasons.
Following the restructuring of the leagues after the RFU’s Rugby Landscape consultation, the 2009/10 season sees the 1st XV in the English Club Championship’s newly titled London 1 (South). League restructuring has also taken place in the Kent RFU leagues with the Mustangs (2nd) XV competing in what looks to be an extremely competitive Invicta League Div 1. After having dominated the Mid Kent leagues since their inception, the 3rd XV find themselves competing in the newly formed Invicta League Div 2.
The 4th & 5th XVs remain within the Mid-Kent league structure whilst the Veterans continue with a full fixture card of friendly fixtures.
The club's commitment to youth development continues to be evident and has seen several products of the club’s Youth Section representing the club’s 1st & Mustangs XVs
