The Newspaper you read today may well be printed on “Renaissance” newsprint…. we recycle one in seven of the UK’s newspapers and magazines.
Aylesford Newsprint is based in Kent and perfectly situated to serve the main markets within the UK and mainland Northern Europe.
Aylesford Newsprint recycles 500,000 tonnes per annum of used newspapers and magazines in the manufacture of Renaissance, a 100% recycled, premium quality grade newsprint.
The Aylesford site has a history of paper making since 1922 and it was the first mill in the world to go 100% recycled newsprint in 1984.
Our Paper Machine 14 is 9.4 metres wide and 115 metres long, commissioned in May1995 it holds 2 world speed records, August 1996 at 60mph and June 1997 at 62.5mph. It was the largest and fastest in Europe.
The company, in all its activities is committed to continuous improvement and achieving the highest possible operational and environmental standards. Aylesford newsprint is an independent company that works closely with its joint owners SCA Forest Products and Mondi who both have extensive experience in the industry.
