Maidstone faced Medway on a cold but bright day at the Mote. From the start, Maidstone’s intentions were clear, fast ball at the breakdown and use the speed of he backs and the width of the pitch.

Maidstone soon opened the scoring and never looked back; the forwards were dominant and winning ball to allow scores to come. Half time Maidstone 27 Medway 0.

Maidstone made a number of changes at half time to give less experienced players a taste of the game. The forwards continued to dominate allowing the backs to add more scores. With ten minutes to go more replacements were made, to their credit Medway never gave up and battled hard rewarding them with a try.
