Maidstone 51-0 Thanet
Maidstone hoped to turn the tables on a Thanet side that beat them last season. With injuries to their team the Stones stepped up their game.
From the start the pack led by stand-in skipper Sam Weston dominated and forced the opposition to defend for most of the game.
Ryan MacDonald opened the scoring and from then on Maidstone never looked back, Brett Scott scored and Tom Sloan; Maidstone’s Man of the Match, crashed through the defence and scored his first ever try.
In the second half Maidstone upped the tempo and scores came through Sam Weston (2), Tom Griffin, Chris Haw and Brett Scott again. Sam Ellis kicked three conversions.
All players gave their all and the game wasn’t as easy as the score suggests, the boys had a will to win and it paid off with each boy playing to the best of their ability, keeping a 100% win rate through the season so far.
TEAM: Weston, Carroll, Hones, Vaughan, Sloan, Haw, Scott, Childs, Matley, Ellis, Corbyn, Griffin, McIlwraith, MacDonald, Clucas.
