Season 2008/9

Once again under the captaincy of Martin Carr, the 5th's start their campaign on the 13th September with a somewhat incestuous training match against the boys from Weavering.

After an early start to pre-season training under the watchful eye of the coach Steve Oakley, the 5th's are looking in good shape to then kick their League campaign off with a win.

Maidstone Barbarian (noun)

1. A member of a rugby team considered by those of another team or club to have a great fighting spirit on the pitch.

2. A skilled, tough, or enthusiastic rugby player.

3. A sociable, friendly person.

New season, same captain (now vastly experienced), same old Barbarian spirit. Give it your all on the pitch and hold your head high as you walk off because regardless of the result, it always makes the beer taste better after!
