  • One of our vice presidents , Andy Trotter, is the Assistant Commissioner of the Met Police
  • Our ex captain Andy Cushing coached Portugal against Wales in a World Cup qualifying match.
  • Current Bath and England prop David Flatman started his rugby with Maidstone Mini's.
  • Vice president Des Diamond is one of England's top coaches and will be doing some coaching sessions with the club during the Autumn.
  • Famous actor, Ross Kemp of East Enders fame, played for the club in the threequarters.
  • Sean Williams, "Barry" in East Enders, is a cousin to Dave Tugwell our first XV scrum half.
  • Currently the club has 3 junior sides holding the Kent championship.
  • Andrew Veitch the ITV news correspondent has had links with the club.
  • Maidstone's ground at Mote Park has the only grandstand in the Borough of Maidstone!
  • Peter Rogers the  recent Cardiff and Wales prop forward was born in Maidstone
  • Mick Jagger of Rolling Stones Fame played at the club....as a young 15 year old schoolboy from Dartford Grammar School he performed a gig at the request of the then social committee.
  • Bill Hayward, one of the clubs best threequarters, left the club to live in America and was capped as an international USA Eagle.
  • When Steve Smiley (Vice president) was a regular for Kent, in the 1973/74 season, he was asked to play for London Irish. However, he declined, because he preferred teaching.
