1st XV ball boys

As part of being the senior team in the mini section of the club, we are requested to provide ball boys to the 1st XV team on Saturday afternoons at home games. We will have to provide at least four boys per game and as such we will be setting up a rota for boys and coaches.

We will try to ensure that the rota is set up such that there is always at least one boy present who has done the job before. This is likely to mean that boys will be expect to be ball boys on approximately three occasions during the season. Please ensure that your son is available on the required day at the required time.

This is a good opportunity for the boys to see and be part of some good standard rugby and also for the team to raise our own profile within the club as a whole.

Nottingham 2007 Tour

Details HERE

After the enjoyable Nottingham Tour of 2005 we intend to tour the U12’s this year. With a return trip to Nottingham, this time accompanied by the U11’s and U13’s.

“Gullivers provides the ultimate in rugby festivals for U9 to U16 teams. They are a great way to strengthen team spirit and test your side against different competition. Wherever you chose to join us, you are assured of a comfortable stay, lots of fun and an action packed break…”

Dates are the 5th to 8th April 2007. Details yet to be confirmed. We are trying to raise funds for this event to keep costs down and therefore would like to introduce the following this season:

Match day Sponsorship – we are looking for parents to offer sponsorship to match days in the form of a monetary contribution of say £20-£25. As a result of such we will ensure that you are mentioned in the match report, and as a momento you will be given a new match ball.

Fines – we are going to introduce fines of £1 for boys who either turn up late to training, or who fail to attend without prior notice. Similarly fines may also apply for bad behaviour etc at the discretion of the coaches. Boys you have been warned!
