The Maidstone U9s squad currently has around 15 players. 2010/11 is an exciting season for us as we move from tag into contact rugby.

The main objective of Mini Rugby is to have fun and enjoy learning to play rugby, whilst experiencing the responsibility of being a member of a team. We play contact rugby with uncontested scrums and lineouts. We are looking to develop agility, handling and awareness of space. Most training sessions start with a few warm up activities, then progress on to individual skills and team skills, interspersed with games. Training starts promptly at 10am and runs for 2 hours on a Sunday morning (see fixtures list). Skills Development Days and Fixtures involve the same structured training while involving other clubs. Festivals are competitions involving a number of teams from around Kent.
