Season 2010/11

5th XV aka Barbarians (MFC Team of Year 2010) is the perfect starting point for any player wishing to start or return to Social but competitive rugby.

2010 has seen Captain Steve Quinn step down after a short though successful tenure but with the Centenary Cup still held firmly in his grasp. However, in his place stands a new Skipper, Tom Clarke, who takes command of the Barbarians as they embark on yet another Mid Kent “C” league campaign. Tom’s mission and intention is to build on last year’s success and turn those narrow defeats of last season into comfortable victories.

Continuing in their roles are Drill Coach Colin Frost and Fitness Coach Richard Hadfield, both ably assisted by Coach Steve Oakley. Under their guidance, the Barbarians hope to go from strength to strength with more emphasis on technical know-how and gentle refreshers covering overall fitness.

If you or anyone you may know is interested in playing in a team that trains together, plays together and tours together, the Barbarians extend an open invitation to all irrespective of ability.
