Maidstone Rugby’s Team of Year
Maidstone Rugby’s Team of Year – 5th XV aka Barbarians celebrated their end of season dinner last week with thanks to the hospitality of Jon and Jan at The Bull in East Farleigh.
Pictured with retiring captain, Steve Quinn (3rd from right), the award recipients (l-r):-
- MFC’s newest Vice President – Trevor Bradley;
- Departing for pastures new – Steve Hunter;
- Newcomer of Year and New Barbarian Skipper – Tom Clarke;
- MFC Centenary Cup – Bruno Dag;
- MFC 5th XV player of the season – Mike Gillies;
- Barbarian of the season (contributions to social rugby) – Colin Frost;
Not pictured but other awards went to Lance Lewis (Most Improved Barbarian and Tourist of Year), Rob Leedham (Tim Doyle Memorial for services against social rugby) and Paul Arthurs (Handbag of the season).
Anyone interested in joining the social aspect of Maidstone Rugby then why not come down to Thursday night summer training on Bearsted Green every week from 7:30pm starting 3rd June – Open to anyone who's new or wishes to return to the game - 4th XV members particularly welcome as always.
