4th XV Season 2011/12

Some words from our new leader

Following last year's campaign during which Andy Cairns led the 4th team to the Club "Team of The Year" accolade, it seems quite a good idea to go for the "Bald-Skipper" formula once again. Lets hope that it proves to be equally efficacious this year.

With so many players turning up at training every week, my personal aim is to make the 4th team a refuge for super-fit players (like me perhaps??) who dont need to run around on a muddy field under flood-lights on a thursday, in order to play good rugby on a saturday.

In every club there are good players who for one reason or another, can't or don't want to train every week and those players should feel very welcome in the 4th team dressing-room. Hopefully, there will be a good mixture of experienced players and callow youth, turning out for the love of the game and to give their best in what is sure to be a very .competitive league campaign. I look forward to assembling an enthusiastic group of players that will give its best on the pitch and play winning rugby in the right spirit. Here's to another great season !!
