Senior Club Coaching and Support Staff

Andy Golding
Director of Rugby
Andy has been around Maidstone Rugby a very long time and knows very well the history and traditions that this great club has. Andy has previously held the positions of Mustangs coach, 1st XV Head Coach, D.o.R & Chairman.
He started his playing career as a youth, representing his county (Middlesex), London Division and even being part of the potential England schools. As a senior, Andy played county u21, for Ealing, Borough Road, London Welsh 7’s & finished here at Maidstone during the national league era.

These days, Andy holds Sports Science Specialist degrees (BA; MSc) and is a visiting lecturer at UCFB (Wembley Stadium). He has also been a Tutor for the National Coaching Foundation ‘teaching coaches to become better coaches’ across a range of sports.
Mike Hebden
Head Coach
Mike's playing career began at Keighley RUFC in Yorkshire 1. While studying for a degree in Sport Studies at Edge Hill University, Mike spent 3 years playing in national 3 for Liverpool St Helens. During his time at University he completed both the Level 1 & 2 coaching courses. A move to the Isle of Man then followed to take up a teaching and coaching role at King William's College during which time he qualified as a PE teacher. During 6 years on the Isle of Man I played for Douglas RUFC and was also appointed Head Coach of the Manx RFU's Elite Player Development Group. Mike is currently teaching PE and coaching rugby at King's Rochester and his experience of coaching junior players has been extended through roles with both Harlequins and Saracens community departments. A serious knee injury has curtailed Mike's playing career and after a season as the Mustangs XV coach he now takes up the reins as Head Coach
Steve Milward
Assistant Coach
Played for both Askean and Maidstone in National League 3, before seeing out his playing career at Canterbury RFC in 2000, started his coaching career at Canterbury until 2005, involved with Charlton Park , Folkestone and Ashford Ladies, before moving back to Maidstone as forwards coach in 2014.

Richard Weston
1st XV Manager
Richard rejoins the coaching and support staff after a couple of seasons respite. The bulk of his playing career was confined to school or within HM Forces. He then moved into coaching, producing an extremely successful youth age group within the club before moving on to coach the clubs Mustangs XV for two seasons. in addition he also captained the clubs Veterans XV, On the basis that you can't keep a good man down, he is looking forward to supporting the 1st XV and being involved in the matchday set up again.
Gemma Skudder
Head Physiotherapist
Gemma is a Locum Physiotherapist with the RFU Womens Pathway and was involved with the physiotherapy team for England Womens in the lead up to the 2017 World Cup. Gemma is RFU Intermediate Care in Sport Level 3 qualified and holds her AACP acupuncture qualification. Gemma has been at the club since 2014.
She also works privately as a physiotherapist.
Natasha Zalewska-Pittman
Development Team Pitchside Osteopath
Natasha has been with the club since 2015 and works as an osteopath at several clinics in Kent after qualifying at the European School of Osteopathy. She is RFU Intermediate Care in Sport level 2 trained and trained in acupuncture.
She is currently doing her Sports and Exercise Medicine Masters at University College London.
Supporters Man of the Match

Despite the heavy defeat, for his part in a back row that had to work hard all afternoon, and for his efforts as ball carrier and at the base of the scrum, this week's Biddenden Vineyards Man of the Match award goes to Sam Weston.
